A band for fans of: Joe Bonamassa, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Beth Hart, Teskey Brothers, DeWolff, Waylon, Joss Stone, Jefferson Airplane, Fleetwood Mac and Marcus King.
Harlem Lake is their new band name and consists of 5 young musicians, but for this special occasion expanded with singers, a three-piece horn section, percussion and a second guitarist. In the past year, they have worked hard on their new material and now the time has come to show it to the public!
Expect a powerful set with an energy that you normally only see on the main stages of big festivals. Singer Janne Timmer blows everyone away with her soulful voice full of power while Sonny Ray complements her on guitar without a doubt. Dave Warmerdam on keyboards is the brain behind the arrangements and forms a musical pillar on stage. The music they make is sincere, layered and profound, but also wonderful to completely lose yourself in.
The band’s roots lie in blues music but through the influences of Joe Bonamassa and Tedeschi Trucks Band, their sound has broadened into a solid blues rock sound with a touch of soul. In 2019 they won the Dutch Blues Challenge and early last year they were in the semi-finals of the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, TN. They were spotted by American blues guitarist Walter Trout and will be supporting him in September at Paradiso and 013, among others.
But before the world breaks loose from the grip of the virus, the band presents itself in this livestream concert. Celebrate with them the new band name and toast together to a musical future!
